VW camper bus restoration information
This is a typical question that gets posed on forums:
“A friend & I are planning, in the next 3 or so years, to buy and restore an old VW bus. We are thinking a camper, but not neccessarily a Westy. Does anyone here know anything about restoring VW Buses? Or know of a helpful DIY-type site? We know very little about cars in general, so any help is enormously appreciated.”
There’s loads of information out there. First of course there are books and workshop manuals, websites which specialise in different aspects of VW campers, for example, try find vw camper parts for parts
There’s lots of material on restoring a VW bus - this is a very helpful slideshow on restoring a VW camper (bay window) interior.
And this slide show demonstrates how to restore the bodywork of a VW camper

JC Whitney has parts for most types of cars. Maybe they have manuals, too.
