VW Campers and trailers
VW Bay Window campers don’t have a huge amount of space and people often wonder whether they will tow a trailer or small caravan. Because they are rear wheel drive and rear engined, they have a very good torque to horsepower ratio, so you can tow a small trailer or caravan.
You could adapt another bay - but that seems a shame, although the matching pair here do have great VW camper appeal. The trailer is a pretty cool cut and shut job.

you actually might be able to tow your trailer. true that the air-cooled vw motors are pushing around 50hp, however because they are rear wheel drive and rear motor mount they have a very good torque to horsepower ratio, you could probably tow around 800-1000 pounds. so you could definitely tow an old ham can.
